CoinWealth — Platform Update One
It all started when Rajesh Jaisingh, Rajesh V, and I met for lunch at HSR, Bangalore discussing the thought of building something that makes it easier for traditional investors to invest in crypto assets.
The creation of managed crypto portfolios was a germ of an idea in Oct 2021.
Fast Forward four months — we were able to draw a lot of interest, so much interest that our tranche of CNW Tokens in the Pre-seed Token Sale was sold out. We also received validation that both the traditional and crypto investors need a managed program or set of portfolios in which they can invest. Our community across channels has grown to over 25,000 interested individuals.
We believe that the era of decentralization is upon us. The mission of CoinWealth is to make Crypto Assets a part of every portfolio.
The CoinWealth Platform will play a significant part in helping us achieve our mission - enable us to provide the best of product offerings like Segmented portfolios, SIPs, Fixed Income Plans (FIP), structured products for HNIs and many more.
Simple, reliable and secure - without the hassles of dealing with wallets, time allocation for deeper research or tracking markets 24/7.
And yes, we always love hearing back from our users and accounting for the feedback we receive to improve our product. So, our thought process has been to get to a Minimal Viable Product from the get-go, to iterate frequently, and to build features that are important to our investors. The nice-to-haves can come later.
So, with this, let us answer the key question:
What is to be expected with the first version of the product?
· Ability for an investor to use self-serve pages to sign up to the application
Investor will be able to sign up to the platform using the sign-up page and confirm their email address. While signing-in to the application, we have enabled the one-time password through email by default, and it is mandatory.
Currently, we support only email-based 2FA, but we will soon be going live with other forms of 2FA like Google Authenticator.
· Ability for investor to connect with their Crypto Exchange account
Investor can connect to exchange and check the available stablecoin balance and make investments in the schemes.
Currently, we support only one exchange partner (Bitbns), it is on our roadmap to extend our offerings on different exchanges. We are crypto-first — we will leave the on-ramp to the crypto exchanges and other non-custodial providers.
· Ability for investor to make multiple lump sum investment
Investor can make multiple lump sum investments in a fund using the available USDT balance.
· Ability for investor to track overall investments and a single investment
Investments may be tracked overall and at each investment level. And we are calling it “Insights”.
· Ability for investor to redeem all or partial units
Investments can be redeemed anytime with all the units available or partial units. Takes a maximum of T+1 days to settle and for payout to complete.
Only KYC-cleared accounts will be able to participate, no transfer of assets allowed to other users by design.
